Amber is vibrant and alive. She has a love of life and adventure that are positively contagious to those in her presence. Teaching yoga has directed this inspiration into a supportive community forum.
Amber began her yoga journey 13 years ago with a teacher who taught Ashtanga in Kapiolani park; Waikiki, Hawaii. There was a small group who met 4-5 days a week after the workday was through. After a couple of years she branched out to the community center where Iyengar was practiced. Then she continued to explore a variety of gym, studio, friend, and University taught classes. She was also a dedicated Bikram student for a handful of years. Always being a spirit who favors variety in her experiences the yoga quickly became the perfect mix of new and disciplined repetition.
Prior to teaching yoga on Maui she had been working at Loveland Academy, a treatment center for Autism on Oʻahu since August of 1999. There she designed an environmentally based education program called the Mauka Ma Kai Program and was its Director of Operations for 7 years.
Presently she loves the island of Maui and when not teaching in the studio you can find her on a Stand-up Paddle board deep in the Pacific. She lived and worked in South America for over a year and hopes to be able to combine yoga, travel, and international community projects as her life work.
